Is change of visa possible?
We are currently in NZ on a 3 year long term business visa. However, it looks like the business is not going to work out. So we are having to look at our options. Does anyone know if we would be able to change our visa status so that that my husband could look for work? He does not have experience in any of the skilled migrant categories listed.

if he could get an employer to sponsor him he could get a work permit (and you could be a dependent)

Aw, sorry to hear that. Personally I would contact NZIS and ask what the options are (surely he/you will be ok to look for other work whilst here on a LTBV?) as I wouldn't want to suddenly find I had no valid permit to be here.
I'm not sure what the rules are if you are already in the country so NZIS would be you're best bet.
