can I apply for ICT - Database Administrator on MBA - MIS degree
 

Dear gurus

I have got the skill level 7 assesment in PAR from NZQA for my MBA - MIS degree, I need to know can I apply for skilled immigration for ICT - database administrator profession on my MBA-MIS degree?

It doesn't sound like you are skilled (ie experienced) in that skilled role so no.

But I have more than 10 year of experience in ICT as Database Administrator.......

Then you need to say so. You didn't in your post above so you didn't sound like you had the necessary experience, as I said.

Fill in your application forms like you asked this question and you will fail. I'd suggest you obtain assistance in that regard.

Hi mehpk,

PAR doesn't mean you have actual assessment. It will give you only an idea where your qualification stands. I got Level 7 in PAR but in IQA they assessed my qualification at Level 8.

Does you experience is in comparable labor market ?

If so then you need to prove that how your experience is relative to your qualification.

If not then you are required to have bonus points for experience in an absolute skill shortage list and for that your qualification must be assessed as mentioned in column 4 of Long Term skill shortage list.
