Buying a business in NZ

Hi i wonder if anyone can help?

I am considering buying a business in NZ and wonder what kind of Visa i need to apply for. I already have my EOI forms ready to fill in. I have read the Entrepeneur Visa rules but they appear to require a minimum of $2 million to invest which i neither need nor indeed have! Do i apply under the skilled migrant section or will that only muddy the waters for later? Should i simply send in my EOI forms in any case - get a case worker assigned and then sort it all out later? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Cheers

I think you would be looking at the Long Term Business Visa category.

There is a specialist little forum for this . Here is the link.

Welcome to BE by the way and if you have another other queries or questions, we are all happy to help. :)

I have previously checked with Be admin that it is OK to post up this particular link

You still may like to consider applying under the skills category as there will be less hoops to jump through if you have the right points. That might depend on whether you want/are able to get a qualifying job, before starting your business (after you have PR).
