BTEC National Certificate in Engineering
Hi
I have a City & Guilds in Mechanics I & II and a BTEC National Certificate in Engineering (I think its a level 3 in the UK).
NZ Immigration have agreed that the City & Guilds is a valid qualification but have said that I need to submit my BTEC to the NZQA to see if it will achieve a Level 4 qualification which will then allow me to gain the additional bonus points for my qualification and experience.
Has anyone submitted the BTEC National Certificate in Engineering to the NZQA to see what level it achieves?
Any feedback would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Re: BTEC National Certificate in Engineering
i had one done in 1998 i think things may have changed a bit since then as there is not "level" refered to on the assessment report.
i know i had to jump through hoops to get it done, i had to get an original copy of the silabus from the collage this alone was a feat as i had compleated my studies a good few years before

Sending a copy of the syllabus helps as NZQA will check component by component to see what matches NZ quals and what does not.
