Applying for jobs in NZ

Just a quick questions, I have reviewed the skilled occupations list for NZ and while my career is not on there am I able to apply for positions within my field in New Zealand? If I was to then receive a job offer could I apply for a visa that way through company sponsorship?

Or as another option could i obtain a years working holiday visa and seek a sponsor while in NZ that way? I work in Sales & Marketing @ a managerial level.

All help much appreciated

Re: Applying for jobs in NZ

Just as a follow up to this and another question.

My intentions are to obtain a HWV for New Zealand and then apply for roles in my industry. What are the chances of obtaining a permanent position this way? I guess slim as sales & marketing positions are not on the skilled shortages list right?

Thanks all, bit confused bout all this
