Default ANZSCO & LTSSL help required!

Hi all

Just one question this time!

Hubby has job offer and they have said it comes under the LTSSL with ANZSCO code 133112 project builder. On the LTSSL it states you need a diploma equivalent to NZ level 6 AND 3 years experience. On the ANZCO website it states experience 'may' substitute the qualification - can anyone tell me which is correct? He has the relevant diploma but we don't know if its the equivalent of level 6 and I don't really want to have to pay out more money to check if I don't have to. Does anyone know if 10 years plus experience negates the need for a qualification under LTSSL rules?

Confused.com

Thanks in advance!

This is only my opinion but I suspect the job can be classed as skilled if it is listed on ANZSCO and you fulfil the requirements. You can only claim bonus points for a job, work experience or qualification in an area of absolute shortage if you fulfil the requirements of the LTSSL.

Have you looked for his diploma on here? http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...rq/default.htm

I know people on here have fallen foul of the LTSSL rules by being more qualified than required. They didn't have the exact qualification so no bonus points.

I could be wrong though...

Thank you - I have looked on there and the qualification would need to be assessed as per the LTSSL but on the ANZSCO it states experience may negate the need for this so not sure.

Thanks for coming back to me. I think we're sorted now but for future when we go for SMC just wanted to check!

We've got our medicals next week and police certificates sent off for. Visa forms ready to go once we get them back - all systems go go go!

Can't wait to get out there now and start selling my sandals

Good luck, sounds like you're more sorted now

You do know you're coming at the wrong time for sandals, maybe you should have knitted wellies instead
