Default Was anyone asked for a second medical?

Hi Guys,

I've been away a while but know where to come to for the answers

OH has been referred for medical assessor review 4 weeks ago and we've heard nothing back. I'm worried because it will be 12 weeks on thursday since the original medical. Do you think they'll ask for another full medical before they continue??
I've just emailed our visa officer to find out, but just wondered if anyone has been asked for one.

Thanks! Sarah

Shouldn't be asked Sarah, as his is with the medical assessor

Fingers crossed for a good outcome for you

Thanks!

Had this reply today - I think I'd gotten a bit confused (nothing new there then...)

'No we won't request new medicals after 3 months. Once the application is lodged the validity date is no longer an issue (except if applications take a very long time e.g. over a year).'

Unfortunately they now want a 'diabetic specialist to review and give a report re current state, end organ damage, treatment and prognosis'

And they want it by 30th September! Sheesh - they'll want blood next...Oh no, sorry they've already had that

We've just spent £200 for a 'specialist review' of son's Osgood Schlatters (growing pains in the knee). The review said basically my son went to him with a history of OS, he has had an xray and something has fused (a good thing) and there is no fragmentation (another good thing). It has actually got a lot less detail than the GP letter we submitted but just waiting again for out come.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

It's a bit barking mad isn't it? My OH will now have to be referred to a Consultant who's never met him before and will then write a report on what the GP tells him, and the past 6 years blood results (which are all fine) :curse:

I must admit that I'm wondering whether to bother - I'm in a very, very bad mood!
