Default Any pharmacists around?

Hi, my partner (Niall NZ bound) and I are looking to move to NZ at the end of the year. I am a pharmacist and I understand that this is on the long term skills shortages list.
I was wondering if there was any pharmacists around, just so I can ask advice about the registration process.

I plan to take the CAOP exam in June, but am concerned about the EOI as I won't actually be registered with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand because I won't have completed the 4 week supervised practice.

If anyone has gone through this process and can shed any light on it I would be really grateful.

Cheers.

Hi, registered to sit CAOP in June 2009 and EOI for NZ already lodged. We were pulled from the pool and immigration specialist noticed that I was not registered with the PCofNZ yet so I got the registration dept at the PCofNZ to write a letter explaining the process.
Not had a response yet so might have wasted £150!

Thanks for your reply......it's quite interesting about getting a letter from the PCNZ.

In this thread I asked whether I could still apply via the SMC if I can't get registered and the consensus was that it should be ok and I would just get WTR and not PR - which is fine by me.

I would be really interested to know what happens to your EOI/ITA. Also, how long was it before your EOI was successful and how many points?

I probably have a few other questions, specifically pharmacy related.....would you mind if I sent you a PM - it's quite nice knowing there's someone else out there in the same situation as me (even if the situation isn't that great!)

Hi
Just read your previous post and am a little concerned about how my application will go. We are keen and able to move quickly and I have already started looking for jobs so we might end up down the WTR route.

Not sure that I care how we get there just that we do.....

Got selected on 135 points in first 2 weeks.

Will be happy to accept PM peterneal at sky dot com
