any advice on what to do?

we are gutted:( medical nearly here, paperwork sorted, looking at flights for early jan, will be able to put ITA in by early next week, with what we thought was everything needed...................... now just had a e-mail to say job offer has been withdrawn due to economic climate:ohmy: aaaawwwww man does nothin ever go smoothly!!!!!!!!! what do we do? do we have to say on the ITA that job offer has been withdrawn? E.W.R.B has agreed to give a provisional on condition of H&S and employer oversee, were worried now bout job losses, credit crunch etc has it hit NZ hard? are there fewer jobs available? any suggestions would be appreciated, many thanks

Re: any advice on what to do? will this affect points?

Now that the job no longer is there, can anyone tell me how this will effect my points? will I lose the 50 for the job offer and be taken out of the ITA system and put back in the pool? we are not sure of the knock on effect of the job loss, can anyone enlighten us? many thanks to anyone who replies

Sorry to read this bad news. :(

I think you will have to state that the job offer has been withdrawn. The main reason is that when a PR visa is issued , it comes with a stipulation that one remains with the stipulated job offer for 3 months after arriving in NZ.

I cannot say for sure, but I would hope that you would be able to go back in the pool.

Yes, you would lose 50 points.

As with the rest of the world, recession has arrived .There will be fewer jobs around and NZ is no exception to this.

All you can do is look for and hope to gain another job offer.
