Another thing I've just thought of.....
 
I've seen on here people write they have visas in passports and on which date that happened. When you send your passport in with your ita do they keep it untill they give you PR? I've also read on here that you have to send in a passport thats valid for so long... how long does it have to be valid because i think my husbands runs out in 2011. :confused:

Hi there
Think passports need to be valid for 2 yrs from date stickers are put in.

Mine is valid till 2012 so to save on cost of renewing when in NZ and having visa transferred to new one I am going to renew British passport early.
I am going to send in a certified copy of my current pp with application as I need it to travel in Sept, then apply for new one to send in when I get PR.

I have checked this with NZIS who said it wouldn't be a problem, just write covering letter explaining change.

hi they are pretty good, you can leave it with them until pr granted. we were granted pr but then decided we were going to france (tomorrow actually!!) and so i emailed our co who sent them back recorded delivery and we got them the following day!!! we will return them again with our migrant levy!
