Another case of Medical Stress!

Hi everyone,

On the verge of completing a Partnership form for PR, and had the medical already done. It's all clear, but am a little worried about a heart murmur I had back in 1997, the panel doctor advised me to get hold of copies of the medical notes at this time, which I did, and am about to send them off with my other forms. He said he couldn't hear anything wrong with my heart now, but just wondering if I would get reffered to a MA? Has anyone had any similar experiences? Cheers for any help or suggestions...
PS. This process has probably given me high blood pressure aswell!:D

Hi there

sorry, I have no experience with this but just wanted to say ' good luck'.

just reading these forums, it seems that any deviation from the norm gets referred to the MA but it's not always a bad thing, just means you might have to provide more details/letter from doctor etc. But I can't see you being declined or anything but your application might be delayed while they 'assess' you.

Cheers for ur reply,

Just had our declaration signed by JP today, all ready to post, then discovered my birth certificate is not a "full" one! :curse: So been onto the registry office today to get it sorted, hopefully have it by 2moro, then (fingers crossed) we'll be able to send the thing! Also discovered they dont like plastic folders!;)

Thanks for your kind wishes, you sound like you've also been at the mercy of INZ!

Re: Another case of Medical Stress!

A heart murmur showed for the first time on my NZ medical so I did a bit of googling. They can be as a result of a virus or anaemia - particularly relevant to me as I'd just had a baby. My ITA has been in London since December so I don't know if it has been picked up but I did see my medical form from the panel dr who wrote in big letters Insignificant and signed off the form stating I was in good health and no further action was recommended. Obviously the NZ assessors may feel differently but at this moment in time I'm fairly relaxed about it. Hopefully yours will be glanced over too then we can all just get on with the waiting game ;)

DD had all clear on her medical apart from a soft murmur - again Panel doctor stated that probably benign (with hefty underlining on the benign) & he specialises in cardiology. Told us as parents that we had nothing to worry about - now we just have to wait & see what assessors say. Fingers crossed for all.
