Adult Child Sponsorship
 

Hi all.
I'm new. I need some advice please. My wife's parents are living in NZ and they were keen to sponsor us to immigrate. We have completed all forms, medicals, police clearances, and so forth. I have a job offer paying way more than the minimum requirement. Our application was declined was my wife does not have a job offer. On the website it states that my income can contribute to the total household income but it does not say that my income can be taken as the sole income. Can anybody confirm if this is the case? Does she also need a job offer even if mine is enough to support our small family? We both plan to work but what if she was planning on being a stay-at-home mom? I have no doubt that she will get a decent offer but we have one month and applying from abroad was difficult enough for one of us. It seems extreme to require a sponsor AND a job offer.
