2019 you will need a Electronic Travel Authority

to enter NZ, so basically an ESTA to enter NZ if you are not a

New Zealand citizens and holders of valid New Zealand visas (both resident visas and temporary visas)

and some may need to pay International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy
