125 points - what is the chance of getting selected from the pool?

Hello

Just wondering if anybody has been selected from the pool with 125 points without a job offer - do have bonus points for a skill that is on the shortage list?

The reason why we want to do this is go for PR and then retrain by doing a degree this way you only pay $5000 a year for uni fees instead of $17000 per year!

If not, how long do you have to be in your first job, before you can leave and try something else or maybe re-train by going to university?

Any help would be greatly appreciated - many thanks

Yes we got picked with only 115 point but we did have a job offer but as you can see from our timeline we got our PR pretty dam fast. There is always hope so good luck.

Hi, we got pulled with 125 pionts and no job offer, we were only in the pool for a week. So go for it and good luck. The only problem is the waiting once your ITA is sent in.

Many thanks for all your positive responses!

I think I best get my application in before next week's election!

I am typing this in Wanaka and the weather is great and the mountains behind the lake is stunning

Many thanks
