11 March 2009 EOI Selected Club

Hi All

Our EOI was selected on 11 March and today we received an e-mail looking for the confirmation from the EWRB that they had assessed Rob's qualifications and they're fine.

But.....we haven't received the letter yet!

Will need to stay up late tonight and phone them and chase it up!

Has anyone else had any progress yet?

Spoke to a really nice guy called Mike at EWRB who was going to find out exactly where Rob's assessment is in the system and get back to us. Unfortunately, he couldn't make any promises about fast tracking it.

Watch this space!:(

Well i hope things don`t take to long for you both Denise:D

We are hoping we don`t have to wait too long for ITA to arrive as we wanna get on and get medicals and police checks done as soon as possible as Scott is due to start work on 7th Sept , am worried we won`t get everything approved in time:eek::eek:

Hi,

We are part of the 11 March EOI club. Got our letter in the post on the 12th March. Have you looked on the online NZIS site where you submitted the EOI?

Got an e-mail from EWRB asking for more detailed references before they can confirm he will get a provisional licence.

It also told him that despite having 30 years experience because he doesn't have City and Guilds he will need to do some course work and sit an exam when he gets to New Zealand. Needless to say he's not chuffed!

He left work work this morning muttering something unrepeatable! Could be worse I thought he might have pulled the rug on the whole emigration process.

Anyway, have forwarded this to NZIS, so they know where we are with the EWRB.

Hi All

Got an e-mail from CO yesterday. Not getting our ITA until Rob's assessment by EWRB is completed. Have e-mailed more detailed references to them today with original by snail mail. Potential process time 8 weeks:eek:

Don't think our Aug 09 timescale is now realistic:(

Hi, we have got ITA and CO! We put EOI in same time as yourselves but with a job offer. Now going quietly mad as I have had to take a bloody English test to register as a nurse (knew I should have done it last year!!) waiting to find out if I have passed (trust me I'm not sure, the speaking section was awful, got as tongue-tied as a 3 yr old). Have also had to send off stuff to NZQA to have qualification assessed (another money spinner for someone!!). Don't know if we are going to run out of time as ITA has to be in 3 months after 11th March and NZQA apparently take ages!!! No way are we risking getting medicals done yet. This is so stressful when I just want to be on the plane! Good luck with all your stuff. Bevissa
