We applied for 30 month WTR visas so had to have medicals done in UK to go with that application.

I've just been quoted 300 pounds (sorry don't have pound symbol on this laptop) per adult in Cambridge and 260 pounds in Stansted. Have requested quote from Harley Street and Brentwood too but it seems like the docs can charge whatever they want - licence to print money. Its painful to know its so much cheaper to do in NZ (but time is against me so need to have it done in the UK unfortunately).

has anyone else been to Dr Howarth in Newcastle as i would love to know why mine and pauls where so much money, i know he needed and extra blood test and that was £160 plus vat but there is still only the 2 of us, i mean we have paid it now, but it is so annoying when the prices vary so much, our x rays at newcastle nuffield were £58 each.
also has everyone else been charged VAT??

Xrays - £75 ea (VAT Included)
childrens medical £60 + VAT
Adults medical £110 + VAT
Adults blood test £105 + VAT
making a grand total for 2 adults, and 2 under 4s = £796.25
