Default Yikes! PPR email 1 hour ago

There you are innocently working away on your trusty computer when zap it arrives - an email from cic asking for your passports and mug shots.

We started this journey back in December 2006 and over the months you never really can see the moment that PPR comes. Mixed feelings but a huge sigh of relief after all those forms, evidence gathering, the angst over sufficiency and validity, the imagined, yet unfounded, terrors of the medical and all that waiting is nearly over.

Congratulations to all the other 2006 ers who have been in this waiting game and have now got PPR. To those still waiting, fingers crossed, it should nearly be over.

Congratulations Voyce.

Isn't it bizarre how they either come via email or through the post? We got ours through the post.

Get started on your goods to follow list now!

Firstly, a big congratulations.

Can I just ask, had you ever received anything via email previously?
I am now checking emails several times a day, as well as the normal postal anticipation.

You realise that most people that applied in 2006 were told at the time that they shouldn't expect to hear anything (i.e. the 90-day letter to request the completed forms to really kick the process off) for at least four years?

We were one of the many who had Four Corners as our agent. They went belly up so we solo and sent the appropriate change of contact form to CHC. In the mean time all our stuff was sent over to Migration Bureau in NZ. They sent an email asking for mega dosh to return our file and said they'd had a letter from CHC. We emailed CHC asking them to re send the letter and asking for confirmation that they had noted our contact details had changed. In response we got the email from CHC apologizing for sending stuff to the wrong place and saying that everything has been rectified and to send our passports.

Fingers crossed you'll get yours soon.

I know. We too were told about 38 months before they shook the dust off our envelope, let alone open it and start processing the contents. We started to notice a change of gear in the 2006 applications September last year and suddenly PPR is upon us.
