Default Yet another education question (quick one!)

Sorry about this gang, I know we're all probably sick of education questions by now! I've had a search, but can't find the exact answer to this one:

We're in the process of filling out my husband's spousal application (he's the Brit). There are two forms which ask for:

a) total number of years of formal education
b) number of years spent at university

Now from the age of about 18 his education was part time, so it understandably took longer than the "norm". Should we put down the number of actual years of study, or the equivalent time it would have taken had he done it full time?

Thanks.

You need to put down the equivalent of full time study irrespective of how long your hubby studied part time
