Wrong Dept for citizenship application
Hi Everyone
I just realized I mailed my citizenship application to the wrong department. It was sent to the PR dept rather than the adult grant. The both have the same address and post codes but different department.
I mailed my application from outside Canada.
Has anyone ever experienced this?
I persume this will be delaying my confirmation and AOR.
I have proof of signature by Shawn on Sept 13. Would my application still be treated or returned?
I am beginning to worry.
Anyone experienced such?

One would hope that once the envelope is opened and the mail person sees the type of correspondence contained then they would forward it on to the appropriate unit via internal mail. There again you could get a jobsworth who returns it to you.

Thanks! Got my AOR yesterday. Such a relief. Thank you so much.
