Hi,
I found some information from federal skilled worker application below:
__________________________________________________ __________________
If:
You are currently working in Canada on a temporary
work permit (including sectoral confirma-tions).
And
• Your work permit is valid for 12 or more
months after the date you apply for a perma-nent
resident visa;
• Your employer has made an offer to give you
a permanent job if your application is suc-
cessful.
will get 10 points (arranged employmet)

I am currently on open work permit (My husband is a Phd student) that valid until
two years from now. Is it possible for me to get 10 points?
Thanks,
Tania

Jim Humpries,
Could you be more specific? Do you imply that my current open work
permit is not classified as a temprorary work permit (definition of
Federal Skilled Worker's application)? What are the differences?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Having an open work permit does not mean you are working.
It just entitles you for a work. I guess this is what an expert says.

After one year on a work permit and working in Canada you will receive 5
points.
To get the 10 points the job has to be confirmed.
