Default Working then PR in Canada?

Hi! I do not have enough points for PR under the new regulations. Is it still
possible to work in Canada without PR status? Just a work permit. Is it easier to
apply for PR after a few years in Canada?

Thanks!

Yes - you can get a work permit if you have the necessary job and skills. It would be
a temporary working visa. This will also add 15 points to your PR score if you apply
after a year or so. (5 for working a year, 10 for the job. Presumably you'll have had
to have an HRDC 'approved' job to get the work permit in the first place).

Take a look at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/coming/new-regs.html
