Default Work permit - submitting PR applicatin

Hi,

Can anyone help? My partner might have a job offer for Canada, fingers crossed. We are planning if all goes to plan to go over on work permit. However, I'm keen to submit my application now based on having no arranged employment in the event that a job doesn't come off (at least I'm in the system then!) I understand that if a job does come up, then we can go on work permit and inform immigration in london that we have employment and we want this fact reflected in our already submitted PR application, which is sped through if we're already in Canada and working.

Is this right? I'm very confused now!
Thanks

Basically, yes. If you can get your employer in Canada to write you a letter stating that they will make your job permanent ("indeterminate") if you get PR, then this will result in your application being fast-tracked. However, you can't do this until you've actually got to Canada and started working in that job. But there's no harm in submitting your application now.

Thank you so much for this - clears up so much confusion. I will submit application regardless now, hope the job comes off, get work permit and then permanent offer and tell London. Fabulous!
