Work permit- processing time exceeded.
Hi guys,
i applied online from the UK. My timeline is below. Does anyone share a similar timeline or can advise if this is normal to exceed the processing time? I’m beginning to worry a little.
-LMIA approved 19th September
-Application submitted 21st September
-biometrics completed 24th September
-Medical request 27th November
-Medical completed 29th November
-Medical submitted 30th November
(Medical passed 2nd January as e-medical completed as upfront medical instead of medical request (IME number and UMI number had to be linked)
- Reviewing eligibility and Background Check being processed has been this status since 4th December.
Processing time was 17 weeks last week reduced to 14 weeks and my processing time has been over 17 weeks. I’ve sent a web form and no reply.
Anyone who can offer some advice if I should worry or this is normal?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Work permit- processing time exceeded.
I am a British Citizen.
The only link to other countries is past working holiday visa in Canada back in 2012/13 and I worked at a summer camp in NYC back in 2013.

Re: Work permit- processing time exceeded.
Fingers Crossed.
I received an email today stating my application is in 'Active Review'. I am guessing this is standard for all applications? On the email I got on 2nd January it was in 'active Process' is this the same thing?
Hopefully i'll hear a decision soon either way.
