Work Permit
 

Hi all

I haven't posted on here for a while and our application is moving on nicely. My wife is in Nova Scotia and has just landed herself a job. She has to go out of the country to activate her work permit. I would like to know as she has her work permit as the main applicant does this mean that when I enter the country later in the year with the children that I am awarded with an open work permit or would I have to go through the same process of finding employment and doing the same as my wife.

It depends on what NOC level your spouse's work permit is. If it is in skilled NOC A, B or O your can apply for a spousal open work permit on entry. You would need a copy of her work permit, a copy of her job description from the employer, marriage certificate, and $155.00

Cool she picks up the letter tomorrow so will see what category she is.
