Work Contracts/Experience
Hi
My OH qualified as a Plumber in March and has been working as a Plumber ever since. His Employer is the one that put him through his apprenticeship etc but are really dragging their heels with his new contract and pay rise, they originally said he would have it in April, then July and now Sept!
When we finally put our app in for FSW Visa will this go against the experience he has? By the time we apply he will have 2 years experience but because they still haven't issued his new contract it will look as if he only has 18months experience!
So basically, do they go by the date on the contract or would they accept a letter from the employer confirming that he has been working as a plumber since March?
I know you only need a year but to get enough points we need the extra year....
Hope that makes sense
Thanks

Yep, we have all of his payslips and his employer has already said he will do a reference letter. Was just concerned because he worked for the employer as a Laborer for a year before starting his apprenticeship and wondered whether they would believe the Plumbing experience without a change in contract or pay?
