There will be a major impact on the PNP programs. The federal government wants the
provinces to make the tough selection decisions and if you believe there will be no
effect simply make an application in Manitoba where decisions were taking 2 - 3
months and now taking 6
- 8 months. The passmark of 75 is very difficult to obtain and many individuals are
utilizing the PNP programs. I understand that Manitoba has received 10,000
applications to date and remember their allocation is 1,000 certifications per
year. The provinces may also elect to increase their point totals but that has not
