Default will child's canadian citizenship help in immigration process?

My friend requested me to ask the following question to the experts.
He is applying as a business immigrant. His wife is pregnant and she
is applying for a visitor visa to Canada (which she will most probably
get because her brother is already in Canada). If his wife delivers
the baby in Canada and the baby gets Canadian citizenship, will this
help his application for Canadian immigration? Suggestions highly
welcome.

No, it would make no difference.

If your friend wants to apply in Business class then meeting required pass
mark is not very difficult and he most likely won't need any help with that.
But making a solid case in Business class, preparing a conclusive
application package is a different story and maybe he should seek
professional help - question he asked about the baby indicates that his
knowledge of immigration rules and the process is less then desired to
succeed with any application on his own.

He may also contact me directly for free evaluation of his chances and
possible options.

It would not help in any way. Furthermore, travel insurance would NOT
cover the birth of the child. That means your friend will be facing medical
bills often in excess of $5,000 CAD a DAY, since the wife would not be able
to participate in the provincial medical plan. Not a good thing.
