Unhappy why we failed

thankyou to all that have replyed to me asking if anyone had failed basically we went to an emigration fair in york about three years ago and met a so called emmigration consultant who told us we had a good chance of passing if we went in the entrepreneur class being as my girlfriend then was a sales assistant and me being a courier our jobsdid not carry any points .she has a sister living out there and we had enough money to set up a buisness out there but my wife had not run her buisness for the last 4years anyway we went over a couple of times to make sure we really did like the area and met our consultant every couple of months to keep us informed of how our application was going each time paying more money then the third time he suggested we got married before the interview we got a time for our interview but we did tell him we felt we were not quite ready for the interview this was in december 2001 his reply was if you dont have the interview and cancelled the interview the new points system would be in place andwe would not get in .so we went on our third visit to canada on a buisness trip and met as many people as possible in toronto and in niagara where we wanted to start the business got letters opened a bank account went to the business enterprise who was very impressed with our plans and got married as well! we got back sent everytrhing to him had one last meeting with our consultant we still did not feel altogether ready but we had paid the money and had our interview in london in dec 2001 we were right the interview was a nightmare the lady who interviwed us must have had p m t that day we answered her questions as best as we could and when we said we wanted to start a catering business specialising in english food her reply was why english isnt english food bland this knocked us back and knocked our confidence anyway got home that night rang our consultant told him how it went his reply was "well we knew it was going to be borderline didnt we "about aweek before christmas we got the letter saying we had fialed but they thanked us for our interest in canada to say it was more than just an interest is a understament we spent thousands of pounds met lots of people who gave us glowing references and all for 30 minutes interview we got back 300 pound from our consultant not even a letter just a cheque .its been nine months now but the pain is still there no chance with the new points system this was our story
