Default Why be afraid of interview!!?

Hi guys,

I read a lot about people expecting interview waivers. I dont get the point why people are so anxious to get their interviews waived. May be they want to save time if it is so then the matter is different, else I personally think that the interview is an extremely smooth process and we should stop making the hoophalla about it. My personal experience.

Cheers and Merry Christmas..

The main reason is that the interview waiver will save 6mo or more on your processing time. One of the few ways you actually have influence yourself.

I totally agree here. I haven't gotten my AOR yet but still I won't worry about interviews. I've been through so many grilling interviews where they usually last more than two hours (USDOE security clearance for my present job, US Customs, USCIS, and IRS tax audit); so CIC, bring it on.

Hi geet,

I was asked some personal questions that where have you obtained your degree in which school etc. Then the officer asked me what do you do for your living. He asked me to show my passport and compared with the photocopy that I had sent. After this he was busy working on the data processing system entering all my data. That took about 20 mins. and I sat and talked to him about weather and the conditions in canada. Thats all.

People are afraid of the interview, because they might have "bent the truth" in their application.

A relative of mine applied at the Paris office during the dot-com era. Funny thing that he noticed was that any two-penny-schmuck who knew how to turn on a computer, was applying as an IT engineer. Now you can see why these people were afraid of the interview. :scared:
