Question Where to start ?

Hi Folks

Mu hubby and I have had enough of just gettin by....we would like a new life in Canada. Hubby is HGV Driver with 17 years experience both driving long haul over UK and all over Europe. He has pulled logs, house kits, specialist long loads, the list goes on and on, he also has his hyab(sp ?) certificate (crane on back of lorry) and has hazardouse material certificates as well.

I am an accounts assistant with accountancy qualifiation of AAT technician, with more that 7 years experience at my present employer. We are 37 and 38 respectively.

We are looking for some advise on where to start. We both would love NS....however Saskatchewan would also be good for us. We have a net worth of more than $300K (canadian).

I would love to buy a small holding a open a B & B, and have a total change in career.

Any advise would be helpful.

Hello and welcome to BE and the living hell that is immmigrating!!!

Sorrywe are having a particular crap time at the minute, but it could all go smoothly for you.

Start with searching through the Wiki section of this brilliant site. You find it in the blue line at the top beside Discussion Forum.

Quickest way in is to secure employment, get an LMO and a Temp Work Permit, or a Job and Provincial Nominee, which expediates your road to Permanent Residents.

We are also going to Saskatchewan...someday in the future...hopefully not too distant at that.

Also ask lots of questions on the forum....we are a helpful bunch and you will get a lot of encouragement and help.
