Default Where should sponsored parents land?

A quick question:
Parents that were sponsored from Quebec have just obtained their PR visas. They already had a booked trip to Canada for Easter, but they were not going to visit Quebec on this particular occasion. Can they land during that trip, or should they change their tickets to fly via Montreal...? If they change their tickets, will they be required to stay in Quebec for any particular period of time after landing or can they go on with their trip as planned? They will definitely not be ready to land for good by Easter....
Thank you!
