just a quick one, im sure this has been asked before, but just need clarification

i am a uk citizen, i have been living abroad for the past 3 months, i will be travelling to canada for 5 months soon,
i wanted to apply for a CSQ, i will be returning to london, uk from canada after the five months,

should i apply to paris office and state my reason for applying there directly, or should i apply to new york? then have the file transfered to paris when i leave canada?

As a UK citizen,you'll have to apply to the London office.

im talking about applying for a quebec selection certificate not a normal skilled worker application,
its either paris or newyork??

You should probably apply to Paris. It doesn't look like you're taking up residence in Canada, or anywhere else, and as a UK citizen, the appropriate office is Paris. As far as I've heard (which others may be able to confirm or not) the Paris office of SIQ is quicker than most others in any case.

If using an address outside the territories served by Paris, you'll need to explain your absence from the UK is temporary only. And then hope for the best (few people on this forum will know about such a specific issue)

For federal immigration, if you get the CSQ, you'll need to apply to CIC London.
