When to panic
Hi
I sent my application last wednesday via airsure and since Friday, this has been the message "posted on 09/09/09 with reference xxx has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in CANADA". I have checked the Canada post website and it does not recognize my tracking number. When should I start to worry. Thanks |

Re: When to panic
you should be able to track airsure through canada, we did....maybe they've not put it on the system yet.

Re: When to panic
Canada post is still not recognizing my tracking number.Phoned Royal mail and they cannot investigate until the 22/10 although the girl did say there could be a backlog in customs.Anyone else experience this when sending forms to Mississauga? The bank said they have not cashed the bank draft yet either?
Maybe it is to early to start worrying but it is months of work and money.:( |

Maybe it is to early to start worrying but it is months of work and money.:( Sorry to hear your dilemma , I have had problems in the pass when posting items oversea via royalmail the bottom line is they won't investigate missing items until weeks after the item has gone missing . Because of this reason I always use Fedex or UPS they do cost a lot more than royalmail but have always delivered . The last package I sent to Canada arrived half a day after they said it would ( but still only took 3 day ) and they gave me a full refund so ended up costing me nothing to send it . Hope thius helps regards Joinerboy:) |
Re: When to panic
Hi,
if you can, call Canada post and try and get an update that way, thats what i did when i sent my package via royal mail on the website it said left UK and arrived in Canada and i checked on Canada post website and it just kept saying cleared customs and a quick phone call confirmed my package arrived at missisauga successfully.....also for spousal applications missisauga have 42 days to make a decision on your application..........good luck im sure it will turn up soon (if already not arrived) |
Re: When to panic
Thanks for the replies. I contacted Canada post and was told that it was probably held up in customs over the weekend or it had been delivered but they hadn't updated the system yet. Much more reassuring than the Royal Mail who told me that it had probably gotten lost and to wait the 25 days. :frown:
I have everything crossed it turns up in the next few days. |
Re: When to panic
It has finally arrived. After days of stressing I can breath a sigh of relief. Let's just hope they don't send it back for any reason. If they do, I shall be using Fedex.I don't think my nerves can take it. This immigration lark is not for the faint hearted.
