When Maple Leaf Card a Must for Current PRs?
The new regulation did not say anything when is the deadline for current PRs to apply
for the cards. What is the news then?

There is no deadline per say. But PR Card will be required to enter Canada or board
plane heading to Canada after December 31, 2003.

Current permanent residents may only start applying after September 15th. Although
permanent residents should be in possession of such a card by December 31 2003 for
travel purposes, obtaining the card is voluntary.
