cedc is not a government agency ... it's a private corporation of
immigration consultants attempting to mimic the name of a one time
Canadian government agency. Because they are trying to mimic a gov't
agency, I would be *very* skeptical of them even as a consultancy.

cic ... Citizenship and Immigration Canada is the government agency.

Not only they (CEDC) try to mimic something they are not but they illegally
use Canadian government symbols on their site. They also provide completely
outdated information and forms dating back to 1999 which are no longer in
use. Looks like they don't even know that we have new immigration law
implemented in June 2002.

Stay away from crooks who can't even learn about existence of new law -
always go directly to Canadian government website at www.cic.gc.ca and if
you have any questions then you may post them here.

The CEDC site is very misleading, looking like it does, as though it were a
government site. It is not. It is a consulting company. For information I
would use the www.cic.gc.ca site. It is what it appears to be - the
official site of Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the government agency
responsible for immigration.
