Hi to all,

Do you think there will be longer delays in visa processing if the impending war actually breaks out? And another horrid thought, do you think they will actually SUSPEND visa processing?

Any thoughts/comments on this?

Visa processing will continue much as before if a war starts in Irak.

Mr. Miller

Don't be so sure. I would tend to think visa processing et al would be
adversely affected for the simple reason that security/background
checks would be held in abeyance or delayed because CSIS or FBI would
be in emergency mode protecting North America from terrorist
infilitration. Their energies would be focused on preventing terrorism
for the duration of the war and its aftermath towards domestic
security rather than provide security checks to immigrants wouldn't
you think?

My 2 cents

I hope so. Many opportunists would invariably try to take advantage of such
a distraction. Close the doors, indefinitely. That is my opinion.

No one knows for sure. Too many factors to know for sure. More problems w/ Iraq etc. - less likely that the immigration criteria will ease.
