Default What visa?

Hi all,

I wish 2 apply 4 a permanent visa 4 myself, my husband and 2 children. Can anyone enlighten me on how much this would cost?

I am a nurse and would also like 2 know if you apply 4 the visa 1st and then apply 2 the nursing regulator?

Thank you

Hi Louise,

Are you referring to a Skilled Worker visa? If so, then fees will be $2380 for 4 of you. Add to that the cost of medicals (approx £200 each, so £800 in total), and then you'll also need proof of funds which for a family of four means you'll have to show you've got at least $20,130 (this amount goes up in April of each year, usually by a few hundred dollars).

This page on the CIC website may help you figure out the fees.............https://services3.cic.gc.ca/efee/efee.do

No idea on the nursing part of the question, but I'm sure if you do a search of the forums you'll probably find the answer. I have a vague recollection it depends on province though, so it may be helpful if you post which one you are intending on moving to.

Hope that helps.

Would also suggest you read the Wiki on nurses as you will need to apply to the college of RN for the province and sit and pass CRNE.
