Default What if I have to leave the country of application for a while?

Just to make sure what would happen

I am about to get the passport request since I sent the medicals and documents on May 05.
I f I am asked to move to another country for a while, Do I need to change my file to the correponding consulate? Could I use the address of a freind of mine and then he will let me know when I get it?. Then I would go to Buffalo to get my PR.

thanks

You leave the application where it is (ie, it's difficult/impossible/inadvisable to transfer an application). You may need to provide a local contact address if the consulate will not send items outside its jurisdiction.
