Default What does "common-law" partner mean?

Relating immigration to Canada based on point system so essential is
this question for those who are not married but living with someone
together.
How should I prove that my girlfriend is eligible to being considered
as common law partner?
Furthermore, what if we are about to split up after landing? Is anyone
ready to observe the fact of keeping joint household?

You must be able to prove that you live together in conjugal relationship
for at least 12 months to be considered as common-law spouses. Just living
together at the same address without proof of conjugal relationship won't be
enough.
