What is the cost of doing medicals in US?

Can anybody tell me the approximate cost of doing medicals in USA. Does it vary from hospital to hospital

The hospital that i called is asking for 5 passport size photos while the medicals only say of 2.????????

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What "hospitals" are you talking about????

You can only do medicals with Designated Medical Practitioner:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/dmp/usa.html

If you called a hospital then they were confused and were thinking that you want medicals for US immigration, thus a discrepancy in number of pics.

Contact all DMP's close to your location from the list above and find out what they charge.

Mr. Andrew

Thanks for the quick reply

I called the one that is in North Carolina from that list. The phone number that is given in the list is of an hospital but later they redirect the call to some other extension.

I told the lady that i want it for canadian immigration purpose. But according to you it might be possible that she might have mistaken it for american immigration that is why she asked me for 5 photos.

She even took my address as she said they will be sending me some paper work.

So what do you suggest i should do now?

Call all DMP's in let's say 250 miles radius (or whatever distance you are willing to drive) and ask also in this forum about every DMP you called to get opinions from others who may have used them.

If i were you, i will bring more than 5. Take more photos, you are going to need them next time. A waste of time just to worry because of the photos.
For cost, i have no idea. In Australia it cost for family of 3 A$540.

Paid about $400 each for wife, myself and $100 for daughter (4 months) in Boston. Checked all DMPs is NY, NJ, MA area and the going rate in Aug 2005 was between 375-425 per person. Decided to go to Boston as the Dr. agreed to dispatch the forms to Ottawa via FedEx NextDay (including and supplemental reports if needed).

Hope this helps.

It cost me $250 (I,me, and myself) in Addison, Texas.
So far Texas has the cheapest
The cheapest is in Rapid City, South Dakota for $185.
It may also help if you have certain HMO coverages because you can claim the medical test as your annual check up.
Well, Make sure you haven't done any annual check up for the same fiscal year.

Duly noted :D
I think the list of medications has grown since I did my medical.
Verapamil, prozac, zoloft, lexapro, buspirone, Crown Royal whiskey  , and topamax.
Too bad my signature line won't let me enter all of those. :(
