That is certainly an interesting plan of action and it does at least mean that you have a chance.

Does it mean you for sure lose your PR? Though if your wife does have hers renewed, she can sponsor you once yours is revoked. Did the lawyer say anything about your time working abroad counting?

Yes, he did. Although the company I work for has three offices across Canada, employ Canadians, pay taxes and are still in business, we don't meet the requirement for a majority Canadian ownership. He didn't think it was worth pursuing.
My PR is over.

If I go back it will be as a guest of my family....or visitor. Oh well, there you go.
