Default Visitors Visa?

Hi, I am currently sponsoring my wife in China and am wondering what
is the best way to have her apply for a visitors visa. The idea is to
just at least have her here with me so we don't have to wait for the
paperwork to finish before being reunited. I visited her family
recently and we applied for a visitors visa twice and were rejected
both times. However, at the time, she was trying to apply as a genuine
visitor (guess they didn't believe us). If we apply again and let them
know that we are awaiting the P.R. forms and we intend to leave the
country (go to US) in order to finalize the process as soon as Canada
grants her the visa, would this increase the chances of them granting
it?

Nope. Her chances for visitor visa when PR application is pending are even
smaller than before. After 2 refusals all chances for TRV are rather gone.

While someone with more knowledge may contradict me here, as I
understand it her chances now are two...buckley's and none. The pending PR
will hamper it, and since she has already been rejected twice, a third would
undoubtedly be in the offing.

For the record (and I'm sure this wasn't your intention), hiding the PR
app when applying again for a visitor visa could result in the PR visa being
rejected outright, due to fraud.

Good luck.

Spousal processing of applications in Beijing are extreme;y fast tight now.
Our expereince is 3 to 4 months from filing to visa issuance.

Actually, like I said we never intended to do the PR. We only did it
after we realized that the TRV was so hard to get. We submitted the
PR application after a few days we were rejected. And I too have
heard of the very fast processing times in china. We need an rcmp
check though (for her stay here in canada over 2.5 years) and that
really irks me as this one little thing will slow down the whole
process. 150+days my butt. It's strange the entire visa process just
about equals the rcmp thing...
