Default Visitors Extension Question??

My wife and I just got married and we are so HAPPY.

BUT, we need to apply for a visitor's extension for her before
we will be able to send in the PR application because of time constraints.
She did not recieve a visitors record at the border last time through, they
just checked our ID'S
and said welcome........they are usually so nice!

I know though that she needs to have a visitor's record to apply for PR.
Will they issue her one inland?
What if there is no record of us passing through?
Do they note our passing through the border? Hope so.
Can they be sympathetic to the situation and issue a visitors record
through the mail for us and a years extension before we apply due to our
marriage?

Will they deport a born Canadian Citizen's wife who has no criminal record,
is a born US Citizen and plans to apply for PR quickly?

What is a minister's permit?

All of these questions are really putting a damper on our happiness and
maybe we need professional advice but we have no idea
about the probable cost of this consulting.....so if anyone has had a
similar experience and would like to share this info
we'd both be so grateful!

Thanks
