Hello,

I have two questions:

1) I read here that the visa is valid until complete 1 year of medical examinations
or the expire date of my passaport.

I am applying for the PR in the independent category and by this time I have just got
the medical exams made (June 2001). But my passaport is valid only until March 2001.
Can I have a new passaport issued now in order to make my visa (in case I receive
one) valid until June 2002?

2) In case I dont go to Canada while the visa is valid, can I just make another
medical exams and get the visa again? Or do I have to enter another process?

Thanks for the help!!!!

If the visa issued the process will come to a finish and the Visa office will ask you
for a new application and fee. They could also sassess you under any new criteria
that may be in effect at that time.

Good Luck

You should get new passport immediately and forward the copy to visa post. Visa will
not be issued if your passport is already expired.

If you won't land in Canada before your immigration visa expires then you will have
to re-apply and go through the entire application process from the beginning.
