Default Visa officers, CHC London.

Does anybody know for certain....... once a visa officer has been assigned your case and sent request for medicals etc, is that same officer in control of your case for the duration of the process, ie to issuance of visas?

In some cases yes, in some not. What difference does it make anyway?

There is no subjectivity involved in assessing and awarding applicant's points, so there can't be a "difference of opinions". No matter who assesses the application number of awarded points will always be same.

The only subjectivity comes into play when officer must assess applicant's chances for successful economical establishment in Canada and if in officer's opinion applicant's points score doesn't reflect those chances then he or she can on the basis of substitute evaluation approve case with score below pass mark or refuse the case with score reaching or exceeding pass mark - but such discretionary decision must be consented to by second officer anyway.

Most likely none!! ,......... but in the ever-ponderable question of why some applications take so much longer to come through than others for no other obvious reason apart from whose desk the file lands on, I was wondering if, as our med requests came through in such a timely manner, the same efficient guy would be handling it to the end of the process now!!

Dinnae fash yersel' Mr Miller, it was not a life-or-death question!
