Just a quick question hopefully,

I'm about to land in Calgary next week. When filling in the goods to follow list, does it matter how much my stuff is worth. If i have 200 CD's say, what value do you put down? $1 each? $10 each?

Doesn't really matter, as its all tax free import, however it is supposed to be full retail or replacement value. They don't actually read your list just stamp it until the goods actually arrive and then they may or may not examine each box or item, depending on how picky they want to be, so if you list a box of antique African ivory for $4000 then they may open. Box of used underwear value $10 probably won't. Also depends how goods arrive, a container is unlikely to be pulled apart unless they pick it at random or your name matches a known suspect on some watch list.

At the end of your list of goods, don't forget to total up the values.
