validity period of visa
Hi,
I understand that the visa's validity period is normally one year from the submission of your medical examination report. However, what you had some retests to be done and therefore had to re-submit updated reports, when would the effective date begin - the date of the first report or the latest? It seems to be the first but doesn't seem fair since for some reason, somebody's medical checkup could be delayed by factors beyond his control and by the time everything was over and done with, he could well have left with a month or so to pack his bags and make a dash for canada... Is the situation the same everywhere or is it region specific? Any advice please? Thanks, |
Re: validity period of visa
IT is the earlier date that controls the validity of the visa.

Additional medical examinations do not address all tests, but only a subset of more specific tests when required. Immigration officials do have the discretion to extend medical validity in certain cases, or may ask for new medical examinations if the allowable period to land would be insufficient. ________ CAMPBELL, COHEN - attorneys at law tel:514.937.9445 / fax:514.937.2618 [email protected] http://canadavisa.com Online Community: http://canadavisa.com/community |
