Default Urgent : question about Temporary Resident Permit

I am on Student Authorization in Canada since 5 years. I have already
graduated and have been waiting for my PR under skilled category. I have
been asked to attend the interview in Detroit Canada Consulate on Aug 11 for
my PR . But I could not get the US visa for it , therefore could not show up
for interview. I have already made the Canadian Consulate Detroit of the
situation.
Most probably they will defer interview or will process the case according
the the information they have on my file.

Problem:- My student authorization is going to expire very soon ..and I
want to stay in Canada while my PR case is concluded. I am thinking to apply
for Temporary Resident Permit (TRP). What reason should I give them so to
maximize my chances of getting TRP. Is there any other alternative..so that
I could stay in Canada for this duration???

Thanx in advance

Regards;

When was your application submitted if it was prior to the end of 2001 you
are in thr transitional period and your case wil be in Limbo because ot the
Injunction against the CIC which forbids , temporarily at least the refusal
of old aplications.

detroit wil send you another interview letter and if you do not show up
eventually they wil refuse your application. my best advise would be to
considering sending yr aplication tot he visa office serving your home
country. You need professional advise as there are many factors at play in
your case and you wil not get the type of advise you are looking for on this
forum.

The unfortunate likely outcome for your application is refusal because you
did not attend the interview.
