Default Urgent....Experts please advice.

I have been working in Canada for two and a half years on an
Employment Authorization.
1 applied for PR in early June 2001 for my family and I, and we
completed medicals in April 2002.
ROLF has been paid. I just got a letter today requesting evidence of
funds.
When I submitted my application, I attached copies of my pay-slips
dating back six months. I had read here that this was acceptable.
On the CIC web site, it states that “You do NOT have to show
that you have these funds if you have arranged employment in
Canada”.
Can I re-submit pay-slips dating back the last six months as proof of
funds?

I am still in full time employment in Canada.
Also, does this indicate in any way what stage the application is at?

Please advice
Many Thanks

You applied and being assessed under old law, so whatever you are referring to
doesn't apply to you. Provide current bank statements and pay stubs for past 12
months. Looks like your case is at the last stage of the process - final review
and decision prior to visa issuance.

Thanks for the response Mr Miller. Much appreciated.
Hopefully, I'll be able to post a "GOT IT" message before the end of
the year.....hopefully!
It would make a great Christmas present!

Unless a permanent job offer has been validated, you would not be
considered to have Arranged Employment. Additional information on this
topic may be found at Campbell, Cohen's web site at the following URL:

Evidence of an ongoing salary in Canada, however, can still help to
reduce the requirement of settlement funds. Provide evidence of such
salary again, along with evidence of whatever liquid and/or fixed assets
you can provide.

    > Also, does this indicate in any way what stage the application is at?

There is not sufficient information here to determine the stage of the
case.

Generally speaking, it is far better just to provide what they ask for than
to argue the finer points with them.

You can argue until blue in the face wasting just enough time to be assessed
under the new rules if you like, but take your chances. You can make legal
areguments if you want. But....

Just show them the money.
