Default LMO needed or not? NOC - obsolete? urgent help please!

I have an employer in QC who wants me ASAP.

i fall in the IT workers category, which is nice so the LMO can apparently be skipped.

however, searching for the NOC code, as listed on CIC's IT worker page draws a blank. The code as shown on that page is also in the format xxxx.x, rather than the plain 4 digits.

furthermore, the tools and software listed are SERIOUSLY old and almost obsolete in the current industry.

My occupation does however have a 4 digit code (5223) though, in QC, it aint under pressure.

so... does that mean that the info on the it worker page is totally redundant and therefore wrong?

I really really need to know if i need an LMO or not, as needing one, even if applied for concurrently, is gonna add some serious delay to the processing time and ultimately to when i can start work...

any help welcome
